Ours To Own

Over the mountains,

Through the forests,

Throughout life’s journey we go;

Currents may tug,

Winds may gust,

But joy will always show.

Tears will fall,

While bonds will break,

But we should always know;

Past the ice,

And beyond the blizzard,

Will forever lay sweet snow.

Beyond the maelstroms,

And the cloudy skies,

The sun will always glow;

Life will try to knock us down,

But we shall always hold,

Ups and downs will come about,

And make us all feel quite low,

But we will rise,

And fortify,

For this life is ours to own…
